Traffic Safety and Enforcement

The Morrison Police Department is committed to creating the safest environment possible for residents, visitors, pedestrians, and motorists, which is why the use of speed photo radar cameras will soon be implemented to encourage safer driving behavior.

The implementation of speed photo radar technology will allow the department to more effectively and efficiently enforce traffic in areas of town when its officers are patrolling and responding to more immediate calls for service elsewhere.

Beginning December 2, 2023, the Morrison Police Department will begin the use of photo radar speed enforcement at the following locations:

The eastbound and westbound lanes of Bear Creek Avenue at Mt. Vernon Ave.

The eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 74 at Mile Marker 18 (Red Rocks Entrance 3).

The northbound and southbound lanes at Highway 8 at Summer Street.
